Welcome to the Rainbow Garden, the magical place where colours sprout from every stalk, stem, and vine… even from out of the ground! From pumpkins to papayas, pomegranates to peas, you can find fruits and vegetables from all over the world, in every shape and every colour, growing here!

Join Greta the gardener and her silly sidekick, Sunny the scarecrow, as they explore the garden and learn all about how different foods grow.

Through songs, stories, games, and simple recipes, listeners will discover the deliciously colourful world of fruits and vegetables.

Red

There are birds nibbling the yummy fruits and veggies in the garden today, but that doesn’t stop Greta and Sunny from spending their day there too, learning all about red foods: strawberries, tomatoes, radishes and more, Their friends Spider, Worm, and Butterfly tell them the story of “Little Red Strawberry Hood”, they learn how to make Tangy Tomato Salsa, and they close out their rosy day with a game of “Red or Not Red.”

Orange

The circus is in town and Greta is learning to juggle…oranges! She and Sunny spend another vivid day in the garden learning all about orange fruits and veggies: carrots, sweet potatoes, oranges and more. Spider, Worm and Butterfly tell the story of “The Hidden Surprise”, they learn how to make Crunchy Carrot and Orange Salad, and they close out their fun-filled day with a game of “Orange or Not Orange.”

Yellow

There’s a heat wave in the garden today and everyone is trying to stay cool! Greta and Sunny learn all about yellow foods: corn, pineapple, lemons and more. Spider, Worm and Butterfly tell the story of “The Yellow Corn Maze”, they learn how to make Frozen Banana Pops, and they end their sunshine-y day with a game of “Yellow or Not Yellow.”

Green

Greta is in the garden painting a picture of the beautiful things around her, but she’s got a problem: she can’t find green paint anywhere! But not to worry, today she and Sunny will spend the day learning about all things green: broccoli, kiwi, cucumbers, and more! Spider, Worm and Butterfly tell the story of “The Enormous Broccoli”, they learn how to make yummy Broccoli Slaw, and they close out their lush day with a game of “Green or Not Green.”

Purple

The Bug Beats are in the garden today playing their favorite tunes for all to hear. While they listen to the lovely music, Greta and Sunny learn all about purple fruits and veggies: eggplants (or aubergines!), beets, blackberries, and more. Spider, Worm and Butterfly tell the story of “Grape, the Superhero”, they learn how to make a grape Superfood snack, and they close out their rhythmic day with a game of “Purple or Not Purple.”
